Earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. - Jude 3
The Apostolic Faith Church sprang from the Azusa Revival of 1906 which took place in Los Angeles, California. Our founder, Florence Crawford, was one who received the infilling of the Holy Spirit at those meetings, and in 1908 she moved to Portland, Oregon, and established the headquarters of this ministry. Over the following century, this work expanded to include hundreds of churches spread across six continents.
The mission of the Apostolic Faith Church is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We accomplish this as we:
Pray
We make prayer the basis of every ministry and encourage communion with God as the way we grow to spiritual maturity in Him.
Preach
We emphasize the original Pentecostal doctrines of salvation, sanctification, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, continually striving to develop fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ.
Publish
We publish the Gospel through the printed word, the spoken word, and through our personal lives, daily looking for opportunities to spread the message, "Ye must be born again."

Dear friend, Welcome to our Webpage. Our international Headquarters is at Portland, Oregon. We are glad you found us and do pray that the contents will help lead you, your family and friends to a closer personal relationship with God. We teach and preach the un-adulterated uncompromising truth of God’s word. Salvation through genuine repentance, godly sorrow for committed sins with renunciation, or giving up of sinful life is taught. (Isaiah 55:37; Ezekiel 18: 31; Acts 3:19; Acts 20:21 and 2 Corinthians 7:10) Entire Sanctification or holiness, which is the eradication of the sinning principles from one’s life, or the destruction of the roots of sin, through the application of the blood of Christ is taught. (Leviticus 20:7, 8; Psalm 51:1, 2, 5-7, 9-10; Hebrews 2:11; 12:14; 13:11-12; and John 17:16-24); And the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, (the endowment of power from on high upon a clean, sanctified life for service (Acts 1:4-8; Luke 24:49) is also taught. These form the basis of our doctrines in addition to those listed on Our Doctrine segment of this webpage.
The word of God is made alive as is being preached with power, faith and with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Lives are changed through the preaching. This leads to the transformation and renewing of minds. Again, we preach the life-transforming sermons, which lead to deliverance from sins and other entanglements; and victorious daily living. You will never leave the same after listening to the spirit filled anointed word of God. The bible says that “he who is in Christ is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). We emphasize holy daily living in this present world as instructed by Paul in Titus 2:11-14, “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a people of His own (peculiar people), zealous of good works.
God has confirmed His words with many wonders and miracles in our midst, such that are not commonly heard of in these days. We believe and have witnessed the manifestation of the power of God in our midst time and time again during our services.
Our mission, besides preaching, praying and publishing the word of God, is to lead people of all ages, nationality, status and gender to a closer personal relationship with God, through genuine repentance, and obedience of the word of God, (the necessary condition for receiving blessings from God); and empowering them to victorious and holy living while waiting for the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You will notice here that we emphasize and repeat holiness in this greeting. This is our main theme. We do not ever profess to be “holier than thou,” but believe very strongly that this is a requirement that God has for us even in our present generation.
In our Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings, students all age groups garther together to study and discuss the word of and learn how to apply it to everyday life issues. Our youths ask a lot of questions as they learn many practical principles of God’s word. The characters of our young people are molded in this forum by the applications of God’s words to their lives. There are no Collection Plates passed during any of our services. If you happen to be in our area, we invite you to stop by and worship with us and we trust that God will deliver you and give you victory over your circumstances and peace of mind in this turbulent, uncertain and troubled world that we live in, if you want to. Once again we thank you for visiting our website and trust that you may be blessed by the contents. May Almighty Heavenly Father bless you. Amen!
